7 Great Detox drinks to Prevent Toxic Overload

With an advent of increasing awareness of people on their health and nutrition, detox drinks are gaining recognition to prevent the toxic overload and other health problems. It is a known fact that if the toxic intake is not reduced, it can trigger in other problems like headaches, gas, constipation, bloating, fatigues, nausea and skin problems. We can stay healthy by consuming these simple detox drinks which could also result in weight loss. It may give a boost to our metabolism and helps greatly in digestion. These detox drinks can also smoothen the liver functioning, can lead to better sleep. It can also result in improving your skin and hair.

Green Tea & Lemon :

Green tea can result in weight loss, fights allergies, and keeps blood sugar level in control. Take a large cup of water, green tea (1 bag/ ½ tsp loose), ½ fresh lemon. Boil water, put green tea in it and leave it for 5 minutes. Add lemon juice. Sip it slowly.

Orange, Carrot & Ginger:

This is a healthy juice to include it into your breakfast. Oranges are full of Vitamins and minerals, and great for teeth and bones. It also regulates blood pressure. Do not forget to include it in your meal to have a healthy skin. Carrots strengthen the lungs, immune system and prevents cancer cells to develop.  Ginger also helps in digestion and lowers blood pressure.

For 4 Servings – Take 6 medium carrots, peeled-off with tops chopped off, 6 oranges peeled-off, half inch fresh ginger. Put everything into your juicer and serve fresh.

Tomato, Cucumber & Mint Leaves:

Tomato is a good for your heart. Tomatoes are loaded with health-protective antioxidants such as lycopene, vitamin C, and vitamin A. Cucumber helps to manage diabetes, keeps you hydrated, reduces the risk of cancer, reduce bad breath and keeps your body healthy.

Take 4 chopped tomatoes, 1 chopped cucumber, a handful of mint leaves. Put chopped tomatoes, chopped cucumber and mint leaves into the food processor and give it a spin. Strain and serve the drink fresh.

Honey, Lemon & Ginger:

Honeyhelp reduce the risk of ulcers. Good for skin. Lemon help reduce your body weight, great for digestion and can also keep you away from throat infection. It controls high blood pressure as well. Ginger helps in digestion and lowers blood pressure.

Take ½ lemon, 1 tablespoon honey, ½ inch ginger root, 1 glass warm water. Heat a glass of water (do not boil it). Add lemon juice, crushed ginger, and honey to the glass of warm water. Drink it warm.

Apple Cider Vinegar & Honey:

Apple cider vinegar boosts immunity by lowering blood cholesterol. It also regulates insulin, has anti-inflammatory properties. It controls blood pressure fluctuation, and also helps in weight loss. Honey is rich in vitamins and minerals such as calcium, potassium, magnesium, copper and zinc.

Take 1 glass of warm water, ½ tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, ½ tablespoon of honey. Mix apple cider vinegar and honey in water and drink it warm.

Beetroot & Mint Leaves:

Beetroot help in detoxification. They have anti-inflammatory properties and are an excellent source of antioxidants. It also prevents signs of aging. Beetroot promotes hair growth and improves liver function. Mint keeps your digestive tract clean. It relaxes the muscles of the stomach and facilitates the breakdown of fats by encouraging the flow of bile from the liver to the small intestine.

Take 2 medium beet roots, a handful of mint leaves, and a pinch of salt. Chop the beetroot into ½ inch cubes and toss them in the blender.  Add a mint leaves and salt and give it a spin for few seconds. Serve fresh.

Coconut Water, Kiwi & Mint Leaves:

Coconut water acts as a natural electrolyte and a weight loss agent. Kiwi is a good source of vitamin C and It also  controls the blood sugar levels and reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Mint keeps your digestive tract clean. It relaxes the muscles of the stomach and facilitates the breakdown of fats by encouraging the flow of bile from the liver to the small intestine.

Take 1 cup of tender coconut water, 2 kiwis, a handful of fresh mint leaves. Peel off the kiwis and give it a spin in the blender. Add coconut water and crushed mint leaves and strir well. Refrigerate for 20 minutes and drink fresh.
